We are Idun Ruth
Idun Ruth serves both individuals and families through the distribution of diapers and menstrual care products. These personal-sanitation items are vital for the completion of everyday activities, including going to work or school. Unfortunately, their acquisition can be not only cost prohibitive, but at times, a safety concern.
Understanding the Challenges
At detriment to their health and well-being, too many individuals and families will be forced to forgo the purchase of diapers or menstrual care products. When funds are limited, food, housing, and transportation come first.
If you don’t have diapers, you may be turned away from dropping off your baby at childcare. If you don’t have menstrual care products, you may be unable to attend school or work. Already existing challenges become worse due to missed education, training, and wages.
Offering Inclusivity & Anonymity
Beyond economics, acquiring these products can mean exposing oneself to heightened scrutiny. Immigrants; gender non-binary and transgender individuals; and persons with disabilities have a right to safely access diapers and menstrual care products.
At Idun Ruth, we partner with organizations that recognize and respect all individuals. We celebrate autonomy and offer anonymity.
